A poor experience during the recruitment process could turn candidates off as a consumer too

New research has shown that 1 in 4 UK jobseekers have turned their back on a brand entirely following a bad experience as a candidate.*

Virgin media attributed a loss of £4.4m in 2014 to poor candidate experience. Bringing the process in house to allow it to take more control and engage with people one-to-one has helped.

It’s also all about consistency. As employer brand and marketing manager at Virgin Media Neil Chivers says: “We have to make sure whatever we say to a candidate at that first touchpoint stays with them all throughout their life here.”

We couldn’t agree more. We applied this principle with our employer branding work for law firm Rix & Kay. Our recruitment campaign achieved all set objectives and gave them the ROI they were looking for. Find out more here.
