Emotional engagement as a more powerful driver of employee behaviour than rational is a mantra oft repeated to clients by Woodreed. I came across a great TED talk by Simon Sinek today when doing some research for a client which reiterated this.
It’s all about purpose – the why not the what. As consumers, people don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it. On the inside you need to hire people who believe what you believe, people who understand and share the organisation’s purpose.
